I ran outside today. Temps were good, but it was fairly windy. I think I went out too fast. My first mile felt good and clocked at 8.07. My second mile was around 8.23. My watch quit working after that so I am not sure what my pace was; however, I did stop several times and struggled with the hill. I only made it half way up. My goal is to run without stopping, adjust speed if needed, and make it up the hill.

Nice job, and welcome to the blog! First time I've noticed your posts. I've got a killer hill that I run up every couple weeks, and in the beginning I never ran all the way up. Lately I always run all the way up. Sometimes I run fast up it, but normally I gear own to a slow speed and keep going. Even at a low speed it's exhilarating to make it to the top without stopping. I'm looking for a BQ also and hopefully it's moments like running my killer hill that will mentally get me through a qualifying time. Good luck!

Thanks Russ! I have made it up that hill only a few times in the last few years. It is a great feeling to make it up. Thank you for the encouragement. I was just thinking I need more collaboration with runners to help me through these tough times. Good luck to you also!
